Mavericks’ Cooper Flagg confirms relationship with Duke center Arianna Roberson

Dallas Mavericks star Cooper Flagg’s season ended last month, but that didn’t stop him from doing big things.

Flagg confirmed his relationship with Duke women’s basketball center Arianna Roberson in a post on his Instagram Story on Thursday. Flagg posted a photo of them kissing in the Turks and Caicos Islands, and Roberson reposted the photo to her Instagram Story with two black heart emojis.

Roberson also shared this a TikTok The couple got together during their vacation and wrote, “Keep it up.”

Rumors about their relationship first started when they posted pictures of just themselves on their respective accounts at the same resort, leading fans to believe they were vacationing together. They were also seen together attending Duke’s stunning 101-64 victory over Syracuse at Cameron Indoor Stadium in February.

The pair overlapped for a year at Duke in 2024-25 when they were both freshmen. After leading Duke to the Final Four, Flagg declared for the NBA Draft and was eventually selected with the No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft.

While the Mavericks struggled and missed the playoffs in Flagg’s rookie year, Flagg achieved plenty of personal success. He edged out former Duke teammate Kon Knueppel, a forward for the Charlotte Hornets, to win the NBA Rookie of the Year award.

Flagg averaged 21 points, 6.7 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game in 70 games.

Roberson averaged 8 points per game on 41.6% shooting in 33 games with Duke. His older brother, Andre Roberson, played seven seasons in the NBA and spent most of his career with the Oklahoma City Thunder.
