Meta, Google Officials Skip ED Summons, Called Again On July 28

NEW DELHI: On Monday, the Executive Director has released new calls to Technology Giants Google and Meta and directed their representatives to direct the illegal online betting and gambling platforms in connection with the ongoing money laundering investigation.

New notifications follow the absence of companies at today’s hearing; Both requested additional time to collect the relevant information and documents. Once he is called, his statements shall be recorded under the law of money laundering (PMLA).

ED is investigating multiple platforms that host illegal betting and gambling connections, including ads placed in social media organizations and application stores. The agency called Google and Meta to explain how to buy advertising space on the networks of these illegal platforms.

A few actors, famous and athletes are also examined and are expected to be transferred before ED. According to the agency, these illegal platforms deceived innocent users savings and hundreds of Rupi Rupi Rupi.

ED’s investigation includes more than a dozen high -profile cases across the country, including the Mahadev Online Book (MOB) application in Chhattisgarh, the main supporters.
