Think about it: there are places like this all over the city, from small suburban shopping streets to Canberra’s busiest streets. Along with the Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Indian, Italian, Persian or Mediterranean, our foolish One Nation wannabes would do well to stop and remember where they last had their weekend meal, yelled at the office, hatched a plan or found something on the menu that every family could reasonably enjoy. What would our culinary landscape be like if generations of immigrants had not established new homes on our shores?
