Traffic Curbs for Fish Prasadam at Nampally
Hyderabad: Hyderabad Traffic Police has issued a traffic alert for the annual fish prasadam distribution program at Nampally Exhibition Grounds. Traffic diversions will be in effect from 6am on June 8 until 8pm on June 9th, and moderate congestion is expected on the roads around the venue.
Police said special arrangements have been made for vehicles and visitors attending the event. Four-wheelers coming from Nampally side will be parked at Gruha Kalpa, Gagan Vihar and Chandra Vihar and from there visitors have to proceed on foot till Gate No. 2 of the Exhibition Grounds.
Visitors coming from Moazzamjahi Market by buses and minibuses will get down at Gandhi Bhavan bus stand, while those coming from Nampally will get down at Gruha Kalpa bus stand and walk to Gate No. 2.
VIP pass holders traveling from Moazzamjahi Market will proceed via Gandhi Bhavan and turn left down Adab Hotel Lane towards Gate No. 1 and CWC gate before entering the VIP parking area. VIPs coming from Nampally need to make a U-turn to Gandhi Bhavan and follow the same route.
Two-wheelers coming from Moazzamjahi Market will be parked at Manoranjan Complex parking area, while those coming from Nampally will be parked at Bheem Rao Bada next to Shezan Hotel. Autorickshaw passengers will be dropped off in front of Shezan Hotel.
Government vehicles, buses and pickup trucks will be parked in the CWC parking area. Water tankers belonging to HMWS&SB and fisheries department vehicles carrying fish will be allowed to enter through Gate No. 3. Vehicles of volunteer organizations carrying food materials with valid pass cards will also be allowed to pass through the same gate.
General traffic from Moazzamjahi Market and Begum Bazaar Chatri to Nampally will be diverted to Darusalam and Ek Minar in Alaska. Vehicles coming from Moazzamjahi Market will be diverted to Abids and GPO, Nampally.
Heavy vehicles and private coaches will be diverted to GPO from Moazzamjahi Market and AR Petrol Pump. Such vehicles will not be allowed in the area between MoazzamjahiMarket and Taj Island in both directions.
