One dead, four hospitalised after alleged shooting

One person is dead and four others are in serious condition after an alleged shooting at a home Tuesday night.

A crime scene was established at Canley Heights in Sydney’s south-west after the men attended two different nearby hospitals.

Police were called to Liverpool Hospital at around 8.30pm on Tuesday after reports of two men believed to be in their 20s suffering from multiple injuries.

One person, whose identity has not yet been officially determined, was treated but died a short time later.

The other man is in stable condition and remains hospitalized, police said.

About 10 minutes after police received the initial call, two more men were admitted to Fairfield Hospital in critical condition.

Later at 9.50pm a fifth man, believed to be 19, was brought to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

Police said the injured were also receiving treatment.

Police established a crime scene at a home in Canley Heights and are continuing the investigation with the assistance of the homicide unit.
