British man Howard Phillips guilty of trying to spy for Russia

An British man who dreamed of being like James Bond “was found guilty of trying to spy for what he believed to be Russian intelligence service agents.
Harlow, Howard Phillips from Essex wanted to convey personal information about former Defense Secretary Sir Grant Shapps.
He offered to help two agents, 65 -year -old Sasha and Dima, but Winchester Crown Court heard that they were actually secret British intelligence officers.
Phillips, who was found guilty of assisting a foreign intelligence service under the National Security Law, will be sentenced to a later date.
