Tamil Nadu BJP President Nainar NagentRran accused the DMK government of ignoring the concerns of farmers who trained Tapyoca in the state on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, and could not take steps for the minimum support price (MSP) for the product promised by the executive side in the 2021 meeting survey.
In a statement, Mr. Nagentran said that Tapyoka farmers in Tamil Nadu demanded that the state government has repeatedly expanded the MSP for the crop. However, the DMK government neglects the concerns of farmers. “Tapyoka farmers suffer due to a decrease in prices. The state government did not take any steps to provide sufficient irrigation facilities for farmers. In addition, he could not get a fair price for farmers’ products,” he said.
Mr. Nagenth called Prime Minister MK Stalin’s immediate intervention and sought steps to ensure that farmers get a reasonable price for Tapyoka products.
