Buggenhout train crash UPDATES: Four dead including kids as train collides with school bus | World | News

At least 4 people died as a result of the collision between the train and the minibus used for school transportation. The terrible incident occurred on Tuesday morning at the Stationsstraat intersection in the Belgian town of Buggenhout.

Emergency services rushed to the scene with photos showing firefighters, police officers and paramedics in the area. It is believed that around 100 passengers were on the train from Bruges and were evacuated safely. It is not yet known how many students were on the bus. Belgium’s Minister of Mobility, Jean-Luc Crucke, told Belgian broadcaster RTL that four people died in the accident, including two children, the driver and the other an adult.
