India’s ranking in Henley Passport Index jumps from 85 to 77: How many countries can Indians visit visa-free?

Last year, the Henley Passport Index climbed eight places to 2025 and 77th, but the number of countries was increased to 59 marginalized access to Indian passport holders. The passport is a document given by the government that allows an individual to travel abroad.
What is Henley Passport Index?
Henley Passport Index is a popular ranking of global passports that measure passport power according to the number of destinations that owners can visit without a visa. Index countries sort according to the statistics provided by the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
Accordingly latest dataSingapore’s passport continues to be the most powerful of the world by providing visa -free access to 193 of 227 locations.
Asian countries dominate the highest points, Japan and South Korea are in the second place and travel to 190 destinations without a visa.
Seven EU passports ranks third – Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy and Spain, all reach 189 destinations.
In contrast, traditionally strong passports such as the US and the UK were influenced. The US passport ranked ninth last year, and access 182 destinations reached 186 destinations and fifth to the fifth to sixth position.

India’s ranking
Although it added only two destinations to the list -free country list, the Indian passport leaving five points in 2024 increased from 85 to 77. There are 59 visa -free countries for India.
The Philippines and Sri Lanka are two countries added to the visa -free destinations list.
