Dustin Johnson celebrates hole-in-one with infuriatingly nonchalant response at LIV event

Golf is a game that can bring out a wide range of emotions in even the most patient competitors.
Even a single round of golf can bring out the full spectrum of emotions, from joy to anguish and everything in between.
One hole, you feel like you’ve won the PGA Championship, and the next you feel like you’ll never want to pick up a putter again.
Someone who knows this range of emotions very well is Dustin Johnson.

The two-time major champion has of course seen it all in the game of golf and was looking to move up the leaderboard as he tees off at the LIV Golf Andalucia event at Real Club Valderrama on Saturday.
After the ball bounced twice on the green, DJ calmly hit his tee shot and then turned home to make a hole-in-one.
The scene erupted into complete mayhem as both Johnson and the crowd could barely contain their excitement.
Wait, was that it?
Does he know he just accomplished this or didn’t someone tell him?
I’m not exaggerating when I tell you that I was more excited about hitting my 185-yard drive in the middle of the fairway at my municipal track than Johnson was about hitting a hole-in-one during a sanctioned golf event.

He even shrugs it off at the end of the clip, for crying out loud.
Granted, the guy is 6 feet tall, has a nine-figure fortune, and is married to Paulina Gretzky, so he’s kind of winning at the game of life.
Shooting a hole-in-one probably feels like finding a quarter on the side of the road for this lucky gun kid.

However, his dismissive response drew the ire of amateur golfers and fans on social media who knew they would never experience the same feeling.
Would it kill him to show a little emotion? Maybe a fist pump?

Either way, congratulations to the DJ on today’s success.
I’m sure that despite his cocky attitude about it, it’s probably still cool to one-putt a hole in one, no matter how many times you’ve done it before.
