Resignation of Pradhan non-negotiable: CJP to Union Ministers

The Cockroach Janta Party (CJP), which is leading protests against the leak of NEET papers, has told two Union ministers that its demand for the resignation of Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan is “non-negotiable”. The group also demanded compensation of Rs 1 crore for the families of those who committed suicide following the cancellation of the NEET test on May 3.

The two sides will meet again on Saturday.

The two representatives of CJP held a two-hour meeting with Union ministers JP Nadda and Jitendra Singh at Vithalbhai Patel House here.

“We have told Union ministers that our demand for Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation is non-negotiable,” CJP’s national spokesperson Saurav Das told reporters after a meeting with government representatives.

Mr. Das said the CJP had demanded compensation of ₹ 1 crore for the families of the suicide victims and that the FIR against the protesters should be withdrawn.

Mr. Nadda said that he listened to the demands of the ministers and conveyed that they would return to the HSK. “We will meet again on Saturday,” he said.

Friday’s meeting was held as part of the organization’s efforts to find an amicable solution to its demands regarding examination irregularities.
