Florida law enforcement takes a victory lap after foiling an unsanctioned “teen takeover”; This marks the latest move by law enforcement to combat viral incidents sweeping the country.

St. “We are a beach town, so there are always spring break crowds that show up, but nothing is organized that way just for the purpose of causing mayhem,” St. Augustine Beach Police Chief Daniel Carswell told Fox News Digital.

According to the event brochure shared by the department, the meeting was originally scheduled to be held on Thursday at 2 p.m.

“All we could do was establish that this was not a sanctioned event. If you show up with the intention of causing chaos or disrupting order, there will be zero tolerance.”

The ministry also assigned additional officers to the pier in case participants still showed up; This could mean that local law enforcement agencies may be understaffed as they reserve manpower for unapproved takeovers.
