In the men’s 200 meters, British sprinter Jeremiah Azu was disqualified after his wrong start, and American Kenneth Bednarek won the race in 19.87 seconds, while South African Sinesipho Dambile came second in 20.10.
Great Britain’s Elise Thorner came second in the women’s 3000m steeplechase, finishing almost 12 seconds behind winner Marwa Bouzayani of Tunisia in a record time of eight minutes 59.28 seconds.
In the men’s 400 meters, Charlie Dobson came fifth, while South African Zakithi Nene took first place in 44.48 seconds.
American Cooper Lutkenhaus won the men’s 800 meters race with a season’s best time of 1 minute and 42.70 seconds, while Ben Pattison (1:43.70) and Jake Wightman (1:44.39) from Great Britain took fourth and seventh place, respectively.
American middle-distance runner Yared Nuguse edged 19-year-old Australian Cam Myers to victory in the men’s 1500 meters.
In the women’s shot put, another meet record was broken by Jessica Schilder of the Netherlands with a time of 20.89 meters.
