Burglars decamp with cash, jewellery worth ₹1.5 crore from BRS leader Suresh Reddy’s Hyderabad residence

A theft was reported at the residence of senior leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), Kethi Reddy Suresh Reddy, in Sanath Nagar, Hyderabad, and the thieves allegedly stole cash and gold jewelery worth around Rs 1.5 crore.

Police said the theft took place on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at Mr. Reddy’s residence in Z Colony while he and his family members were away.

According to preliminary information, it was claimed that unidentified people broke the iron safe inside the house and escaped with valuable items. The burglary came to light on Sunday morning, June 7, 2026, when family members returned home to find the house ransacked. They then informed the police.

Sanath Nagar Police registered a case and initiated an investigation. Clue teams and a canine team were deployed to examine the scene and collect forensic evidence.

Police also deployed special teams to track the suspects’ movements and analyze footage from nearby security cameras to determine how they gained access to the property.

Investigators suspect the thieves may have carried out the theft after carefully examining the layout of the residence and choosing a time when the residents were away. Police are also investigating whether the criminals had prior knowledge of the house and valuables stored inside. It was stated that efforts are continuing to identify and capture the suspect. Further investigation is ongoing.
