Allegedly, a young girl was put in a car and gang raped in a hotel. The horrific incident reportedly took place at a hotel in Durgapur in West Bengal, India.
According to local media reports, police said they arrested four suspects, including a hotel manager and the woman accused of taking the girl from her home. It was understood that there was another suspect who has not been taken into custody yet.
The victim’s father reportedly said his 14-year-old daughter was lured out of her home by another young woman and then forced to drink beer laced with an “intoxicating” substance.
After losing consciousness, she was taken to a hotel in Durgapur and was allegedly sexually assaulted by several men.
He was discovered in a distressed state by a rickshaw driver who took him home before being taken to hospital by his family.
Officers have since been investigating CCTV footage of the area where the alleged kidnapping took place and the hotel where the reported attacks took place.
A police spokesman said: “We are working around the clock to ensure all perpetrators are brought to justice,” the Sunday Guardian reported.
The case sparked outrage in the community and raised many concerns about the safety of women in the area.
