US hits back at Iran as regime threatens Elon Musk’s companies – ‘you’ll pay’ | World | News

The USA warned Iran after the regime said that all companies owned by Elon Musk in West Asia would be considered military targets. US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent went X on Thursday after Donald Trump announced new strikes targeting Iran today.

The US official wrote: “The Iranian regime will lose the zero-sum game it is playing. Any damage it inflicts on our allies in the Gulf will be paid for with funds taken from the Iranian Accounts. All tolls paid to the Persian Gulf Straits Authority will be compensated with funds taken from their accounts. Any attack launched by Iran will only deepen the economic and financial consequences it faces.”

A message from Fars shared on the messaging platform Telegram reads: “All shares related to economic holdings managed by Elon Musk in West Asia, including Arab countries and Israel, are being examined for inclusion in Iran’s new target bank.”

The message states that Starlink is among the threatened companies: “SpaceX shareholders, including the Starlink ground station located in the occupied territories, Qatar, Jordan, UAE and Oman, and the infrastructure of two companies named ‘Alfazbi’ and ‘Mobadele’, are among the new targets of the Iranian bank.”

Earlier on Thursday, Mr Trump announced new attacks on Iran tonight, while suggesting the US could seize Kharg Island, which is key to Iran’s oil infrastructure.
