Mumbai Police opposes accused Mohammad Shariful Islam’s bail plea, details inside

Mumbai police, in January this year, Bollywood player Saif Ali Khan in the Mumbai housing allegedly stabbed Mohammad Shariful Islam, defined as Islam, opposed a national bail application. Police claimed that he had solid evidence against the defendants and therefore resorted to not to guarantee the court.
Police reported that the knife used in the attack and the pieces rescued from the defendant were the same. Referring to the report of the Forensic Science Laboratory report, the police reiterated the allegation that the knife pieces near the spine of the actor and a knife piece at the scene matched the weapon rescuing from the defendant.
Police said in his written response to the defendant’s petition, that these three parts belong to the knife used to attack Saif. In his response, a Bangladeshli national residing in India in his response, if the bail is given, the defendants said he would escape from the country during the trial and would not appear in court. The police argued that the crime committed by the defendants was “very serious and a solid evidence against him”.
The defendant had applied for bail, claiming that the case against him was a “fabricated story”. “The current Fir is nothing but a fictitious story of the complainant. Therefore, the defendant wants bail.” He said. The bail opened through lawyer Vipul Dushing claims that the defendant is innocent and that he had not had a criminal record before.
The claim also stated that important evidence, such as CCTV images and call records, is already with prosecution and that there is no threat of dealing with evidence or influencing witnesses. The defendant is currently located in Mumbai’s Arthur Yol Prison. The investigation into the stabbing event is only directed towards a conclusion that will be opened with a charging page. The next hearing on the bail application is planned to be held on August 1st.
