Jake Hall’s ex Missé Beqiri says she’s ‘haunted’ by their split as she reveals she was unknowingly in Mallorca at the same time he died

Jake Hall’s ex Missé Beqiri has admitted she feels ‘haunted’ by their breakup as she opens up about their relationship following his death.

The Real Housewives Of Cheshire star, 39, shares eight-year-old daughter River with the TOWIE star, who died aged 35 last month.

He suffered fatal injuries when he smashed his head through a glass door at a villa in Santa Margalida, Mallorca.

In a new interview Paul C. Brunson’s We Need to Talk podcast, Missé heartbreakingly questioned whether Jake would still be alive if they hadn’t split up.

Jake and Missé were previously engaged in May 2018, but following a shocking argument between the couple later that year, Jake was granted a restraining order at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

No details were given as to what led to the decision, but Jake’s lawyer told the court no physical violence had occurred, adding that Jake had accepted a “cooling off period” might have been a good idea to “keep the peace”.

Despite the unrest in their relationship, the couple later happily continued co-parenting.

Missé said: ‘I actually never thought we would break up because we were so, so in love and everyone around us knew it was crazy love. And, you know, it was really high and really low.

‘We’ve had some very, very good moments, but we’ve also had some very dark moments together.

‘And I think, just like my life experience, growing up, my childhood, everything coming together and she’s experiencing her life as well, and I think it was fire and fire, and I think, you know, there were a lot of times where things were said and done that didn’t necessarily need to be said and done on purpose.

‘And you know, we were growing and trading. At the same time, we were also minding our own business. So for me, he was the great love of my life. And you know it will stay that way forever. And we share the River together…’

He added: ‘This bothers me now. I’ll be honest with you and say: “Would this have happened if I hadn’t left?” Like, could I have prevented this from happening?’

The Swedish model also revealed in the interview that she was unknowingly in Mallorca when Jake was found dead.

She was assigned a modeling job in Ibiza but moved to Mallorca after losing her passport.

Missé explained: ‘Jake’s parents had River. Then I called them and it was still very early because I think my flight was around seven in the morning and they were going to drop him off at school.

‘So I called them and said, ‘Can you take it?’ I said. And they said, “You know what? We’re going to keep him here. So don’t stress. We’ve got him for two more days.”

‘Anyway, that’s why I had to fly – the police in Ibiza said you had to fly to Mallorca to get to the Swedish embassy… Otherwise I couldn’t fly to England.

‘And I flew to Mallorca and woke up in the morning, I think it was around eight in the morning and I had about ten missed calls. And I clearly thought that person was the father. I also think something happened to River.

‘So my heart dropped. “Why did they call me so late? Is everything okay?” I asked. And daddy [Jake’s father] He was like, “Not River, Jake.”

I said, ‘And the way he says Jake’s name, it sounds like he’s in the hospital, in prison.’ It was like the last thought for me was that he was gone… And he said “he’s dead.” So I went into full panic mode. The first thing I did was blame everything on myself.

‘I kept going – everything was like that – I thought about River and said, ‘No, no, she doesn’t deserve this pain.’ Like River couldn’t deserve this pain. You know, he’s been through a lot in his life and I’m not doing this to him. And I just wanted to protect him.

He added: ‘So the night he died I was there, I was there… I was there, I didn’t know, like he wished he would call me or just call me, whatever.

Like, “I need you, come help me.” I wish he had called me. I wish you would do something. But he didn’t know I was there either. He didn’t know I was there.”

Misse said heartbreakingly last week that telling her daughters she was dead was ‘the worst thing she’s ever had to do’.

He added that receiving the call about his death was ‘the worst phone call of his life’.

Missé said: ‘Even today I keep thinking: ‘Is this really happening? I remember when his family called me and got the news, I kept saying “This is not possible” and then everything went dark. I don’t remember any of it.

he added Sun: ‘This was the worst phone call I’ve ever had in my life. The shock was so bad. The first person that came to my mind was River. How can I tell him that his father is gone? I kept thinking: “I don’t know if I can do this.”

Missé said it was ‘the worst thing she’s ever had to do’ and River was understandably ‘saddened’ by the news.

She explained: ‘We’re trying to keep him in his routine but when I took him back to school he said: ‘Do people know I don’t have a dad anymore? That’s a lot for his little brain to process.’

River is now receiving therapy to process what happened.

This situation is especially sad for Missé, who lost her brother seven years ago.

Flamur Beqiri, known as Alex, died on Christmas Eve in 2019, at the age of 36, when he was fatally shot by assassin-for-hire Anis Hemissi in front of his wife Debora Krasniqi and one of their two children.

He told The Sun: ‘How is this happening to me again?’ as she describes how she is trying to process her grief.

Last week, Missé paid a heartbreaking tribute to her tragic late ex Jake and his brother on Father’s Day.

In her sweet tribute to their tragic loved one, she shared a photo of the two together with a passionate caption describing her gratitude and their smiles.

He wrote: ‘Two men, fathers, sons, brothers. Today is Father’s Day and I’m honoring these two dads, my brothers Alex and Jake…

‘Life is too short and sometimes we forget to look around and say thank you, so thank you. If there is anything you can do today my family; children, friends and children are everything…

‘I am grateful to them, to this community, and to each of you who are thinking of our family during these difficult times. I respect you very much. So much love and gratitude. Until we meet again.’
