The court reserved its May 21 decision on Chadha’s request for interim relief against allegedly offensive content.
Chadha, who left the Aam Aadmi Party to join the BJP, had approached the high court to immediately remove the allegedly fake, artificial intelligence-generated and deepfake content circulating on social media. He claimed that the manipulated content was malicious, fabricated and seriously damaged his reputation and personal rights.
In his defense, Chadha argued that artificial intelligence and deepfake technology were used to create and spread manipulated content without permission, which amounted to a serious violation of his legal and constitutional rights. Also Read: Delhi HC asks CAT to reexamine tough Forest Service exam answer key
