Immigration detainee, 45, accused of making hundreds of threatening calls to police

After a migrant prisoner in Western Australia was allegedly threatening phone calls, the police analyzed the “waste of frustrating resources”.

The 45 -year -old Morocco National was arrested at the Yongah Hill Immigration Detention Center on Thursday and was accused of two crimes for threatening to threaten and use a transportation service to kill and use a transportation service.

According to the Australian Federal Police, the man was allegedly having a 297 attack telephone conversation with AFP for 54 days in April -July.

This will be an average of 5.5 calls per day in the two -month period.

AFP Detective Deputy Inspector Karen Addiscott said that the alleged calls of the man could disrupt or delay the answer to real calls

“Such calls not only apply a frustrating resource waste for the targeted agency, but also may be sad and interested for people who respond to them, even if the threats are not directly targeted,” he said.

The man appeared on Friday at the Perth Magistrate Criminal Court and was detained before his next appearance on September 12th.
