US President Donald Trump’s appearance of falling asleep during the 4th of July celebrations caused a huge reaction on the internet. President Trump marked the 250th anniversary of America’s independence on Saturday after storms forced a nearly two-hour evacuation of the National Mall in Washington, DC, and severe weather disrupted celebrations in several US cities.
But a new storm was brewing after prominent Democrat Harry Sissons accused the 47th US president of “falling asleep” during the celebrations. He said: “Trump was seen falling asleep during fireworks in DC for America’s 250th anniversary. Incredibly embarrassing and concerning.”
Meanwhile, journalist Aaron Rupar mocked the President, saying: “Trump ‘blinks’ during fireworks display in DC.”
Trump, who celebrated his 80th birthday on June 14, is no stranger to allegations that he winked forty times while in office.

Just days before he celebrated his 80th birthday last month, Democrats claimed the Commander in Chief fell asleep during a meeting in the Oval Office at the White House.
At the afternoon meeting on “clean coal”, Trump gave the floor to Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin and Interior Secretary Doug Burgum. As the men spoke, the president leaned back in his chair and appeared to close his eyes for several minutes.
Democratic California Governor Gavin Newsom’s team said, “DOZY DON IS BACK (HE NEVER LEAVED).” But White quickly hit back at critics. Trump

Trump mixed partisan politics with patriotic appeals in his speech after Saturday’s celebrations, which he called “one of the most joyful and glorious milestones of all time.”
Speaking in Washington after storms caused a nearly two-hour evacuation on the National Mall, Trump said he was among those fighting for World War II. It honored veterans, including several from World War II and one of the first Black officers to lead a Special Forces team in combat in Vietnam.
They appeared in front of flags symbolizing some of the most important and challenging moments in American history, from the flag draped over Abraham Lincoln’s coffin to the flags flown on the plane piloted by the Wright Brothers.
Trump said, “We will always be on top, we will never let our country fall. We will always be the best.”
Trump didn’t talk about himself as much as he did in his normal rally speeches. Still, he sought a third presidential term and World War II. He still found time to add a joke about the “greatest generation” of World War II.
“They are the best generation,” Trump said, adding, “I hate to admit it, but they are.”
