One follower wrote: ‘If we get to the final you know it’s mandatory for you to fly there and sing Wonderwall live on the pitch,’ to which he replied: ‘We’ll see if I’m ready’ and also vowed: ‘Oh I’ll show Harry how it’s done.’
Harry told the BBC in his interview: ‘It was a crazy game. We had to fight and find something. I’m just singing, I can’t really talk. The situation, the team, everything that was against us, we found a way…
‘It was one of those days when the referee gave a lot to us. It didn’t matter in the end. I’m happy. Incredible, incredible support. [I’m] silent!’
The Wonderwall celebration became the backbone of the competition, with crowds remaining loyal to the British band and the England team.
On the way to victory, in addition to the approximately 15,000 England fans who managed to buy tickets, Harry’s wife Kate Kane and goalkeeper Jordan Pickford’s wife Megan, who were celebrating in the stands, were also watching.

More than 10,000 Britons are thought to have watched the match in the streets and bars of Mexico City; Of course, there are millions more in bars and living rooms back home.
Megan threw her arms up in the air in the first half as Jude Bellingham scored twice in two minutes to put England comfortably ahead.
Kate was seen smiling in the back row as her partner Harry scored a penalty at half-time, bringing England’s goal tally to three.
But the WAGs looked nervous and clapped their hands over their mouths as the Three Lions tried to close out the match when they were down to ten men.
