Two more nabbed in Perumbavoor hybrid ganja case

Perumbavoor police, investigating the seizure of around 18 kg of suspected hybrid marijuana, arrested two more persons in connection with the case.

Those arrested are Jagath, a native of Eranjipalam in Kozhikode, and Faiz from Koduvally in Kozhikode. Jagath was reportedly nabbed from Eranjipalam and Faiz from Vythiri in Wayanad.

Police sources said Jagath was involved in the distribution of hybrid ganja smuggled from Thailand, while Faiz was accused of coordinating hawkers operating in Kerala.

The case relates to the seizure of suspected hybrid marijuana worth around ₹18 crore from Vypeen native Ayush (39) and his wife Anika (30) during a raid conducted on June 24 in Perumbavoor as part of Operation Toofan: Narco Hunt.
