Fire in ice cream making unit near Vijayawada

Late on Sunday night, July 12, 2026, a fire broke out at an ice cream manufacturing plant in Enikepadu on the outskirts of Vijayawada. According to the statement of Fire Department officials, no one was injured in the incident. “Fire control personnel received a call around 12 am and fire crews from Auto Nagar and other stations rushed to the spot and doused the flames early on Monday morning,” said NTR District Fire Officer (DFO) AV Shankar Rao. In the incident, packaging materials stored in the ice cream factory were destroyed. DFO said the cause of the fire was not immediately known.
