Prince Harry forced to accept Queen Camilla at royal reunion with King | Royal | News

While Harry has seen his father alone for the last few years, this time the duke brought along his wife Meghan Markle and their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Although Harry had been in the UK for almost four days at the time of the reunion, Harry’s wife and children had only flown in to spend a very short time in Britain that day due to the Sussexes’ safety concerns.

Although it was thought Harry, 41, might not have been expecting to see his stepmother at such a meeting, one royal writer said Queen Camilla’s presence at the royal gathering – which took place privately – was “non-negotiable” and had to be accepted by Harry.

Royal writer Catherine Mayer told PEOPLE: “She is an unquestionable part of Charles’ life.

“There can be no reconciliation with him without him.”

Although Harry last saw his father in September, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet have reportedly not seen the King since 2022.

A source told Vanity Fair:: “Charles wanted Camilla to be there for moral support, and throughout all his drama with Harry, Camilla was a pillar of strength for him and she dropped everything.

“He didn’t tell anyone, not even his family. He got in the car and drove off. They were all on a mission to keep the meeting as watertight as possible.”

No information or photos of the family reunion were shared. There were no other royals either.

This included Prince William and Princess Catherine, who were in Windsor when William attended a charity polo match.
