Prince Harry’s mood allegedly changed just before his meeting with King Charles in England last week. The Duke of Sussex met his father privately at Highgrove House during his five-day trip to the country earlier this month. Harry began his journey on Tuesday, July 7, the day the Daily Mail learned it had lost its privacy claim against its publisher.

On Friday afternoon that week, Harry, joined by his family, Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, traveled to Gloucester to meet Her Majesty and the Queen. But according to one journalist, Harry’s mood had already changed before the meeting took place.

Sunday TimesRoyal editor Roya Nikkhah claimed Harry’s mood was different while attending an event at the Birmingham NEC ahead of the reunion.

He said on The Royal’s podcast: “What was interesting to me was his attitude when he was in Birmingham on Friday, when he clearly knew this meeting was going to happen.

“He was going to go from NEC to Warwickshire.

“He was visible and the people who saw him there were quite animated. He was always with Invictus, but he really was.”

Ms. Nikkhah said there were “no leaks” about what was going on between the two sides during the meeting.

He said: “There wasn’t an emotional response like we got from Harry before when he came into a meeting and said, ‘I don’t know how much time Dad has’.”

The journalist noted that Harry looked optimistic after the meeting.

He explained: “So despite all the drama and fights between him, his family and his father, he was obviously happy it was happening.

“I think there’s something about Harry being able to reintroduce his children to their grandfather who hasn’t seen them in four years.”
