Woman charged with motorcyclist’s shooting murder after bizarre crash scene
A woman has been charged with murder after a motorcyclist who was found dead at the scene of the accident suffered injuries incompatible with a traffic accident.
Police on Friday confirmed a 53-year-old Cheltenham woman had been charged in connection with the shooting death of a man in Yarram, about 220 kilometers south-east of Melbourne, on January 16, 2024.
Police officers at the time had responded to reports of a motorbike crash on the Yarram-Morwell Road but said some of the man’s injuries were inconsistent with injuries sustained in a crash. The man died at the scene.
A few months after the man’s death, a 39-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were arrested but released. A 50-year-old woman was also arrested and interrogated during the incident, but was released without charge.
