Flyers Matvei Michkov throws down disgusting Michigan move goal in charity hockey game
Is there anything better than a highlight hockey goal in the middle of summer?
Yep, how about a great Michigan move calculation from Philadelphia Flyers forward Matvei Michkov?
The 2025-26 season was not a great season for Michkov, who came to camp out of shape and struggled to get up to speed.

This year, he trained in his native Russia and participated in a charity hockey match called Match of the Year, organized by NHL players Artemi Panarin and Mikhail Sergachev. It even featured Capitals star Alex Ovechkin.

But it was Michkov who stole the show with a masterful Michigan move or lacrosse-style goal.

After this, John Tortorella’s eye twitches angrily somewhere.
Michkov has been known to take every opportunity to place the puck on his sword in this way, and this was one of the smoother attempts he made.
So of course it was an aid play but still it takes serious hands to pull off this kind of move.
Last season, Michkov scored 51 points in 81 games, which isn’t bad, but he fell a bit short in his rookie season.

He is still improving, of course, and is a key part of a truly exciting young Flyers team that is past the rebuilding point and is now expected to compete in the playoffs.
Although GM Daniel Briere’s big bet on Leo Carlsson via a huge offer sheet didn’t pan out, the Orange and Black re-signed key players like Trevor Zegras and Jamie Drysdale to keep them in the group.
