According to the National Seismology Center (NCS), this last earthquake comes in the heels of the 6.2 tremor, which was recorded in the east of the Kuril Islands on Friday.
The seismic activity comes after a large 8.7 earthquake shot on July 30 – it is now connected to the most powerful sixth globally recorded.
Despite the scale of the event, the Kremlin confirmed that there was no loss in Russia.
Since the July 30 earthquake, the region has experienced more than 125 aftershocks, which are 4.4 or higher.
Of these, about 45 minutes after the first earthquake, a powerful 6.9 -magnitude aftershocks, including shock, at least three registered magnitude of over 6.0.
Strong aftershocks on the Kuril islands continue to be felt, seismic experts say that aftershocks are often frequently often in the first few hours after a large and large earthquake.
The number and densities are usually decreased over time.
Shallow earthquakes, such as Sundays, are generally considered more dangerous than those who are deeper because of their proximity to the surface of the world, which can cause a more intense ground shake and increase the risk of structural damage and loss.
Meanwhile, the tsunami consultancy for Hawaii after the big July 30 earthquake has now been removed.
Tsunami warnings for Japan and a part of the US coastline were also reduced to consultants.
As the region remains alert for more seismic activity, the authorities continue to closely monitor the situation.
