Police hunt driver of orange Nissan Navara after schoolboy seriously injured in alleged hit-and-run at Revesby

Police are looking for the driver of the orange vehicle after a 12-year-old student was seriously injured in an alleged hit-and-run.

Emergency services rushed to Milperra Street in Revesby, south-west Sydney, following reports that a child had been struck by a car in the westbound lane between Edgar St and Mons Rd about 3.20pm on Monday.

Paramedics treated the child at the scene and took him to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

Witnesses told police that the rear passenger side of an orange-gold Nissan Navara with a hardtop, silver barrier and black wheel hubs struck the child and then fled the scene.

The police warn the driver to come forward.

A police spokesman said: “The driver is thought to have been unaware of the incident.”
