Jayla-Jean Mclaren: Man and woman arrested over death of one-year-old girl on Isle of Wight

A man and a woman were arrested on suspicion of murder on the death of a child who began to walk on Wight Island.

One-year-old Jayla-Jean McLaren died in the hospital on Sunday, August 3, two days after being accepted by serious injuries.

The 27 -year -old 31 -year -old man from Newport on the island on the island was arrested on Friday with suspicion of serious physical damage and bail.

However, Hampshire police said they were now arrested again on suspicion of murder.

They stay in custody.

“We know that this case causes significant distress in the community, and our thoughts continue with those who are affected by the death of Jayla-Jean.

“The arrests made today are only part of a wide range of investigations in our investigation to determine exactly what is happening to Jayla-Jean, and these investigations continue.

“In this case, we want to repeat that you should not speculate, especially on social media, because this may affect our research.”
