L&T Chairman S N Subrahmanyan breaks silence on ’90-hour work week’ remark row, says, ‘I can’t… my wife…’

Larsen & Toubro President Sn Subrahmanyan finally broke the silence in the debates surrounding the expression ’90-week ‘. L&T General Manager said that there was an ordinary explanation in response to concerns about project delays. However, he condemned the record of this interaction in contradiction with the rules.

Referring to the debate, Subrahmanyan said, “I had serious problems in my mind. Five or six customers, including some very high profiles, spoke personally, called me and sent e-mails about our progress. I was worried because we were struggling to activate the staff and labor. It was not good to call at this level. It does not reflect well to me or the organization. ”
