AP To Solarise 2.93 Lakh Agricultural Pump Sets, Says CS

Vijayawada: The State Chief Secretary (CS) K. Vijayandand directed a total of 1,162.8 MW of Sollarying 2.93 Lakh Agricultural Pump set and 1.156 nutritious target as part of the AP government’s PM-Book scheme.
CS, within the scope of the central scheme, 1,162.8 MW solar plants, already detected for the purpose of 5,842 acres of land, he said.

The Secretary directed Discoms to coordination with the regional collectors to accelerate the delivery of 1,700 acres of land waiting to establish solar power plants to Nredcap. In order to progress the project without delay, it enabled the purchase and land lease agreements to be signed with the selected developers.
Vijayandand asked Nredcap to provide the usability of central financial aid compared to the project milestones. He instructed the developers to complete the projects within 12 months.
CS emphasized that the solarization of agricultural feeders will reduce the subsidy burden on the government, provide farmers reliable daytime power supply and encourage renewable energy use in Andhra Pradesh. It has enabled monthly investigations to be carried out, so that problems with confirmations and delays in the gaps can be handled immediately.
APEPDCL announced that APEPDCL was awarded a tender for 220.3 MW covering the 49.533 pump set and tendered the 191.5 MW of the 76.602 pump set, and the APSPDCL 1,35.346 pump set was used. The 141 MW plant covering the 32,106 pump set was cleaned.
