Pakistan: Court Extends Remand of Baloch Activists Including Mahrang Baloch | World News

Quetta: The Anti -Terror Court in Quetta (ATC) approved a 15 -day physical arrest of the leaders of the Balloch Yakjehti Committee, including the leading activist Mahrang Baloch, who was already detained. Speaking to journalists outside the court on Friday, Mahrang Baloch accused BYC leaders of keeping people in prison to scare people. However, Balochistan Post said “the movement will not stop with imprisonment”.
“No matter how powerful the prison walls are, nothing before a mother’s durability.” He said. He said that the government’s lawyer was filed for an extension every time he appeared in the court and called it the “reality of the judicial system”. “Today, the same law is used as a weapon by keeping the CTD custody for 90 days.” He said.
He said that the courts could not save the lost Baloch and Pashtun people. “We started this struggle on the streets and carried it to the courts. Thousands of missing Baloch and the same courts, where the case of Pashtun were waiting, could not save them despite the protection orders.”

Mahrang Baloch warned that the state could not survive against the nation people and called Pakistan a ‘unsuccessful state’. “This is an unsuccessful situation, and the more violence against people is used, the stronger the resistance will be.”
He called on people to rise for their rights. “Our movement carries a message for future generations. The people need to rise for the rights of the future. Those who try to suppress or weaken us are weak.”
He said that the people of Belochistan fought for justice and reality. “They only push the state propaganda, but our movement is far beyond the propaganda. We are fighting for justice and reality. No lie or state source can overcome the truth.”
Meanwhile, the political and human rights activist Abdul Ghafar Qambrani linked to the National Party was released in Quetta after he was detained for four months. On April 6, a police and paramilitary raid was arrested. Initially, he was taken to an unexplained place and later moved to Hudda prison under 3 mPo with other BYC leaders with charges of terrorism. With his daughter activist Bebow Baloch, Mahrang Baloch and other BYC leaders, the police are detained.
In a statement shared on the X, Byc condemned the extension of the physical retention of its leaders. “Once again, once again, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) said that the leadership of the leadership was arrested without any reason or evidence.
