PM Modi Arrives In Japan On Two-Day Visit

Tokyo: Prime Minister Narendra Modi came here on a two -day visit on Friday and held summit talks with Japanese counterpart Shigeru Ishiba.

Prime Minister Modi said that his visit to Japan would be an opportunity to strengthen the ties of civilization between the two countries and cultural ties.

During his visit to Japan between 29-30 August, Modi will hold summit negotiations with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba.

“We will focus on shaping the next stage in our special strategic and global partnership that has made stable and significant progress in the last 11 years,” Modi said. He said.

“We will try to give new wings to our cooperation, to expand the scope and ambition of our economic and investment ties, and to advance cooperation in new and developing technologies, including AI and semi -conductors.”

Modi from Japan will go to China during a two -day visit to attend the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Tianjin on August 31 and September 1.

“I am sure that my visits to Japan and China will advance our national interests and priorities and contribute to efficient cooperation in advanced regional and global peace, security and sustainable development.” He said.
