Jurupa Valley Pyrite Fire forces evacuations, grows to 200 acres with zero containment

On Friday, September 5, a brush fire fired in the Jurupa Valley, and as the flames quickly spread to the area, he directed instant evacuation orders. According to Cal fire officials, pyrite fire started at 17:20 near Pyrite Street and Granite Hill Drive.
Firefighters initially predicted the fire of 15 acres and burns “light flashy fuels”. The rapid growth of the fire required expanded evacuation orders during the evening as the conditions deteriorated.

Evacuation orders expanded as the fire threatened the Fontana region
Shawn Millerick, Firefighter Captain in San Bernardino district, reported that the fire was pressing towards Fontana. Local officials, according to the Fontana police, Jurupa Boulevard was closed to Armstrong Road.
Fontana police addressed the residents through social media: “Currently the residents of Fontana are not affected, but the smoke may still appear in the region.”
The evacuation areas affected by the Jurupa Valley fire continue to be monitored as the situation develops.
Fire grows to 200 percent to 200 acres
