A former member of the Parliament (MP) and former Prime Minister HD Devel Gowda’s grandson Prajwal Revanna was appointed as the library clerk in the Parappana Agrahara Prison in Karnataka, Bengaluru. 35 -year -old Revanna is sentenced to life imprisonment in the rape case. In his statement to the news agency PTI, Revanna’s main tasks as a part of the work includes publishing books to other prisoners and protecting the records of borrowed books. According to PTI, “In accordance with the prison rules, life convicts need to make some kind of labor and tasks are done depending on their abilities and willingness.” He said. Prisoners are usually required to work three days a week and work up to 12 days per month.
