A sunflower field in Thiruvananthapuram is grabbing eyeballs

Would you like to walk in a sunflower field and click Selfie? Go to the St Xavier’s College in Thiruvananthapuram, where the plants are full of full bloom on the campus.

This is an attempt of Agripreneur SV Sujith on a 22 -acre rental land in the college of agricultural initiative. Flowers are exhibited as part of Aaravam 2025, an agricultural flower show organized by Naaden.

“Sunflower has successfully sewed here before, but this was just outside personal interest. This was the first time I did it commercially,” he says.

Like all crops on the farm, Sujith has grown flowers in sandy soil through open sensitivity farming. “There are 72 beds here, each with 266 plants. You need to know the number of products in sensitive farming, or he says.

Sujith adds that plants bloom earlier than they expect. “They bloomed early due to climatic changes, and so we didn’t take enough time to prepare for the public. But now things are on the road, or he adds.

Sujith emphasizes that the festival is an attempt to introduce its farm and its activities to the public. “We want people to understand what we are doing and why we do it. Naaden in the fourth year and my intention is to spread a message – knowing your food,” he says.
