A Year After RG Kar Case, Kolkata Braces For Fresh Stir

Calcutta: The city will witness the new agitation in the completion of a one -year ruthless rape and murder at RG Snow Medical College and Hospital for justice in sensational case.

The largest of the demonstrations will be ‘nabanna Abhiyan’ by BJP on Saturday, which is expected to walk to the state secretary in Howrah to protest the incident.

The opposition leader Suvendu Adhikari and other leading BJP officials are likely to participate in the rally. There was a heavy police deployment and great barricades on all roads to Nabanna.

On Friday, ADG (Law and Order) Jawed Shamim, ADG (South Bengal) Supratim hanging, Calcutta Police Commissioner Manoj Verma and Howrah City Police Chief Praveen Tripathi State Police Station met at Bhawani Bhavan.
