Aaron Ramsdale: Newcastle United open talks to sign Southampton goalkeeper

Newcastle met with Southampton to sign British goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.
While trying to bring Newcastle’s Ramsdale with a credit or a permanent agreement, negotiations are at an early stage.
However, it is known that Southampton, the championship side, prefers permanent sales under significant conditions that signed the UK International for the first 18 million pounds from Arsenal in August 2024.
Newcastle has accepted a fee of 27 million pounds to activate James Trafford with Burnley last week to activate the matched rights of Manchester City and establish an agreement to re -sign former Academy graduates.
Magpies seems to be willing to add competition for the first preferred goalkeeper Nick Pope, and the movement will reunite Ramsdale with former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.
Ramsdale, who was recently called by the UK in March, will have the opportunity to stay in the Premier League and made 30 matches for finishing Southampton last season and fell with only 12 points.
In order to wait for this season with the Champions League football, Newcastle is trying to shape the cadres for the new season in the midst of the uncertainty about the future of Liverpool’s striker Alexander Isak. Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig is listed as a potential backup.
