Jaishankar hosts FIPIC Foreign Ministers’ meeting in New York

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar hosted the meeting of Foreign Ministers of the Indian-Pacific Islands Cooperation Forum on Wednesday, September 25, 2025 and confirmed a “human-centered” agenda that emphasized health, technology and capacity development.

The meeting took place on the sides of the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

“India and Pacific Island countries are the development partners. Our agenda is human -centered and focused on health, technology, capacity development and education.”
At the third summit of the FIPIC in 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a 12 -point development plan for Pacific Island countries in various fields such as health, renewable energy and cyber security.
