If reports are to be believed, the couple will start a new chapter in their lives by moving into their new home on October 18 along with their daughter Raha and Ranbir Kapoor’s mother Neetu Kapoor.

Reports of their move into their sprawling new luxury home followed a viral social media post that appeared to be a personalized announcement. Although unverified, the note from the couple expresses their gratitude for the warmth and love while making an earnest plea for privacy as they settle into their new home. Her notes read: “Diwali is all about gratitude and new beginnings. As we move into our new home, we are grateful for all the warmth and support you have shown us and hope that we can continue to rely on your concern for the privacy of us, our family, our home and our wonderful neighbors. Sending all our love to you and your family this festive season. Happy Diwali!”

This development comes after Alia recently expressed her disappointment after a video of her and Ranbir Kapoor’s newly built house went viral on social media. The video showcased the six-storey bungalow’s elegant décor, modern design and lush hanging gardens. The actor emphasized that the video was recorded and distributed without their knowledge or consent, calling it a “clear violation of privacy” and a serious security issue. He called on the media and the public to remove the photos and videos and refrain from sharing them further.

Alia and Ranbir’s new home is estimated to be around Rs 250 million, making it one of the most expensive celebrity homes in India. Six-storey bungalow with modern interiors, multiple entertainment areas and a large terrace garden. Reportedly registered in the name of their daughter Raha Kapoor, the bungalow is a blend of heritage and modern luxury that honors the rich legacy of the Kapoor family. The bungalow has deep historical and emotional significance for the Kapoor family, called Krishna Raj Bungalow.

On the work front, Alia and Ranbir, who were last seen together in Brahmastra, will next reunite on the big screen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love and War’, also starring Vicky Kaushal. The film is planned to be released in March 2026.
