Jaishankar noted that development in the Global South is slowing down, but countries should not give up hope. The Global South in particular has felt the pain of many conflicts occurring around the world.
Speaking on the 80th anniversary of the UN at Jawaharlal Nehru Bhawan, Jaishankar said, “The commitment to multilateralism, though imperfect, must remain strong. The UN must be supported and our faith in international cooperation must be renewed.” he said.
