Allegations behind raid at apartment of Palaszczuk’s partner revealed
Police officers are investigating an allegation of sexual assault after raiding the Gold Coast flat of Annastacia Palaszczuk’s partner.
Various sources attribute this to leading surgeon Dr. The ongoing investigation, which led to Reza Adib’s flat in Burleigh Heads being declared a crime scene on Thursday, is said to be linked to an allegation of sexual assault.
Adib was seen entering Southport Police Station on Friday afternoon.
Queensland police are expected to provide an update later on Friday but Adib has not been arrested or charged with a crime.
This tag does not indicate that Adib is guilty of any crime. Queensland’s former Labor premier Palaszczuk is not involved in the ongoing investigation.
Detectives and specialist officers entered the flat on Thursday morning, were seen thoroughly searching the property and were later seen leaving with various items in bags.
“Police declared a crime scene at an address in Burleigh Heads [on Thursday]“April 30 as part of an ongoing investigation,” the Queensland Police Service said in a statement to this imprint.
Adib is a well-known surgeon specializing in bariatric procedures, who has been in a relationship with Palaszczuk since 2021.
The surgeon established his bariatric clinic in Brisbane in 2004 and was appointed co-director of the Wesley Hospital Center of Excellence in Bariatric Surgery in 2017.
But Uniting Care, which runs Wesley Hospital, said Adib was not currently accredited to perform operations at the hospital.
At a public event at a Gold Coast library to launch her autobiography on Thursday night, Palaszczuk was asked about the home raid.
“I’m not aware of any of this, so I can’t comment,” he said.
This imprint attempted to contact Adib through his surgery clinic in Brisbane but was told no comment would be provided.
