Amazon Web Services (AWS) said two data centers in the United Arab Emirates were victims of drone attacks.
AWS, which operates data centers and digital services around the world, said the attacks caused “structural damage” and a “power outage” to its infrastructure.

It called on customers in the Middle East to immediately back up their data and move their systems to AWS platforms elsewhere in the world due to the “unforeseen” situation in the Middle East.
AWS is a subsidiary of Amazon that provides cloud computing platforms to individuals, companies, and governments, and its data centers process information for businesses and websites within a region. Damage to data centers can cause serious outages.
Another AWS facility in Bahrain was hit by nearby drone strikes, the company reported Monday.
