Andrew Flintoff’s Top Gear crash passenger sues BBC Studios

Available court documents provide new information about the alleged incident that took place on December 13, 2022, at Top Gear’s test track at Dunsfold Park Aerodrome in Surrey.

There were microphones in the car and BBC Studios said that Flintoff at one point expressed concern as the car’s front wheel was cornering, but was reassured by Rees that the car would not roll over.

BBC Studios’ defense files stated that Rees, approaching the same corner again, told Flintoff “turn right now… now full power, full power”.

The document alleged that “a front wheel lifted and as the presenter, at the plaintiff’s instruction, continued to apply force that Morgan reversed.”

The court document also included the following statements: “At no time after the accident did the plaintiff claim that he was injured in any way in the accident.”
