Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor eviction from Royal Lodge part of deal with King Charles to save daughter’s titles
Former Duke of York Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor is reportedly stalling on leaving the Royal Lodge to strike a deal with King Charles.
Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson are considering their next move ahead of their expected eviction from their boarding house in Windsor, outside London, after being stripped of their titles. Daily Mail They report that deals have been made to ensure they keep their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie.
Sources say their daughters’ futures have become a point of contention as the King decides what sanctions to impose on the family and the former prince takes promises about Beatrice and Eugenie’s royal futures.
Andrew has agreed to give up the fight over his titles and residence at the Royal Lodge, according to a new report from the Daily Mail.
“Andrew has been made clear that although his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will also lose her title, no action will be taken against his daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie,” the Mail reported.
The publication also claims that the King promised Andrew that his daughters would also be “allowed to accept their new official royal roles” as he loses the remainder of his official status.
On November 7, Princess Beatrice joined her uncle, Prince Edward, at a special event for Outward Bound, a UK-based charity that helps children of all backgrounds grow up immersed in nature and outdoor adventures, signaling her willingness to step up their commitment.
Beatrice had previously served as a trustee of the organization and was appointed as its new Deputy Patron under Edward, who followed his father and the late Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, as Royal Patron.
Princess Eugenie recently mentored her peers as part of the King Foundation’s 35th anniversary celebrations.
Ailsa Anderson, Queen Elizabeth’s former press secretary, previously said: “Andrew was coming after me. They had to get constitutional advice, legal advice and get the lease of the Royal Lodge.” PEOPLE.

News of Andrew’s royal exile came with the understanding that Beatrice and Eugenie would retain their royal titles under King George V’s 1917 Letters Patent.
Because they are the daughters of a monarch’s son, they will both remain princesses and continue to bear the style of Her Majesty.
“I think Charles is quite responsible for these two girls,” she told The Sun. “I know they have supportive husbands but they both have young children and I think it’s been very, very difficult,” royal biographer Ingrid Seward said.
“They’re actually part of the royal family and they can do their part, which I think is important for them,” he added.
“Even if they retain their titles, the ripple effect will have consequences for the rest of their lives.”
