Himachal Pradesh: Fresh western disturbance likely; wet spell expected in high hills

Shimla: According to Shimla MeT office, a fresh disturbance in the west is likely to affect the western Himalayan region from April 23 and rainfall is expected in the middle and higher hills on Monday, Friday and Saturday.

While the weather in Himachal Pradesh remained mostly dry in the last 24 hours since Saturday evening, snowfall was seen in Koksar, 7.8 mm of rain in Kukumseri and traces of rain were seen in Keylong.

Kukumseri was the coldest region at night with a minimum temperature of 0.4 degrees Celsius, while Una was the hottest region during the day with a maximum temperature of 36.2 degrees Celsius.
During the pre-monsoon season between March 1 and April 19, Himachal Pradesh received 154.5 mm of rain compared to the normal rainfall of 156.8 mm, resulting in a one per cent deficit, the MeT said on Sunday.
