Modi Virtually Inaugurates Revamped HITEC City Railway Station

Hyderabad: The redeveloped Hitec City railway station in Hyderabad was virtually inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday as part of a nationwide program in Jind, Haryana, where he launched projects worth 14,700 crore.

At the parallel event held at Hitec City station in Hyderabad, awards were distributed to students who participated in the competitions organized within the scope of the event.

Speaking at the event, South Central Railway general manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava said that the opening of 75 Amrit Stations across the country is an important milestone. Hitec City station, which is part of the plan, has been redeveloped with a new building and improved passenger amenities including lounges, signage, elevators, escalators and Divyangjan facilities.

BJP Telangana president N. Ramchander Rao said the railway infrastructure in the state is expanding under Modi’s leadership and expressed confidence that Hyderabad will emerge as a major railway hub.

BJP MLC AVN Reddy said the country has witnessed growth in recent years and recorded improvements in rail travel. Railway projects worth ₹ 40,000 crore are ongoing in Telangana, he said and added that the Union government is focusing on improving connectivity across sectors, including railways.
