Ange Postecoglou has returned to football management and will manage Cristiano Ronaldo in his latest role.
More than eight months have passed since Postecoglou was brutally dismissed by Nottingham Forest, having been at the City Ground for just 39 days.

This represents Postecoglou’s opportunity to start fresh on the touchline after his ‘brutal’ experience at Nottingham Forest; He lasted only eight matches there and won none of them.
I’m talking to the Melbourne based radio station ŞEN 1116 Earlier this year, Postecoglou reflected candidly on his all-too-short time in charge of the City Ground, with Oliver Glasner set to become the latest in charge.
Postecoglou said of his dismissal: ‘It was brutal. I was in the coaches’ room. I knew it could happen at any time, but they kicked me out right after the match. I hadn’t done the press yet, but the press knew.
‘I was walking down the corridors. I wanted to leave; Otherwise I would do something I would regret. I wanted to get out of there. All roads were closed. The roads were opened half an hour later.
‘I was stuck at traffic lights for 15 minutes. ‘I had Chelsea fans giving it to me, Forest fans not so kind and then little kids came up and asked for a selfie.’
Despite his troubles at Nottingham Forest, Postecoglou’s rich history of winning trophies has enabled him to surpass rivals in the role, including current Portugal manager Roberto Martinez.
Last year he ended Tottenham Hotspur’s trophy drought by beating Manchester United in Bilbao to win the Europa League; he had previously won five trophies with Celtic, including the treble in Scotland.
